The Fort William Henry Museum and Restoration is open from 9 am - 7 pm.

Guided Tours:
Guided tours are conducted every hour on the hour with the last tour beginning at 4 pm.
You will meet a guide dressed in 18th century military costume to begin your tour. The guide will explain the weapons and warfare of the period including conducting live firing demonstrations of musket and cannon along with a musket ball molding demonstration. Following your guided tour, a self guided tour will take you through the museum and its many exhibits.
Following each tour, children are invited to Join the Kings Army.
"Soldiers" are given a uniform, musket and a chance to drill with the guide. After "firing" the musket, participants will be given a certificate signing them up as soldiers and a coin for payment.
Directions:
Fort William Henry is conveniently located on Route 9 just south of Lake George Village. From Interstate 87, take Exit 21 to the Village. The Fort is located on the north (right) side of the road. Parking is available near the Fort behind the Village Blacksmith Steakhouse and the FWH Conference Center.
Buses and groups are welcome.
Sutler Shoppe:
After visiting the fort, stop by the Sutler Shoppe - the largest gift shop in Lake George! - for a great selection of Fort William Henry and Lake George souvenirs, books, toys, candy, high quality replica muskets and cannon, clothing and unique gifts. Located inside the fort, the Sutler Shoppe is open to the public (fort admission not required) 9:00am - 7:00pm daily, May - Labor Day.
Introducing - the Artisan Corner! The Fort William Henry has joined with Local Artisans to offer Adirondack hand-made articles for sales to the public. A section of the Sutler Shoppe has been set aside for local artisans and crafters. Items available include jewelry, hand-made sweaters, quilts, metal work and other crafts.
